Stephen Curry told $45 million head coach to ‘f**k off’ after Duke rejected him

Stephen Curry is one of the greatest point guards of all time, solidifying his position this year after a solid run in the Finals. However, he was once not even considered for one of the best university programs.

Curry is currently enjoying the spoils of the offseason. He is now a four-time NBA champion, finally capturing his first Finals MVP. Life couldn’t be better for Curry.

After two seasons of losing and missing out on the playoffs, the Warriors are finally back where they belonged. During Curry and Thompson’s heyday, they reached the finals five years in a row.

In that fifth final, Klay Thompson got injured, and that’s when it all went downhill. Thompson sat out the entire following year, and Curry and Draymond were injured for various parts of the season. The Warriors finished with the worst record in the West.

The following season, Curry tried his best to lead the Warriors to the playoffs, but they ultimately missed out on the play-in. This year, he finally got his running mate back and they won the title again.

Stephen Curry turned down Duke after he was turned down first

Curry didn’t have the best run to the NBA. During college, he wasn’t at any of the big schools and instead had to play for Davidson.

Sure, Curry proved his worth and proved he was worth all the hype, but regardless, he didn’t come from any of the big names. He tried it, but in the end it didn’t work.

Curry tried to join Duke as a freshman, but Coach K, who has a $45 million fortune, said they were full. “We are full this year, but maybe next year.” Coach K said.

The following year, Duke tried to lure Curry away from Davidson, but Curry wanted none of it. “Dad, if they didn’t love me then, I don’t love them now,” he told his father. “Fuck them. I stay in Davidson.
