$20 million Gilbert Arenas dinosaurish revelation on Larry Bird’s top-10 player status

Former NBA player Gilbert Arenas believes Celtics legend Larry Bird can easily be replaced by Stephen Curry on the all-time top 10 list.

It seems that there is no one to stop Gilbert Arenas, who has been in the headlines for his controversial statements at the wrong time. Recently, the three-time All-Star had caused a storm with his comments about Giannis Antetokounmpo, claiming that the Greek monster didn’t understand basketball.

Arenas’ previous statements earned him a lot of criticism, which led to him being heavily criticized on social media. However, Agent Zero stood by his words that Giannis was not one of the top 3 players in the league. If that wasn’t enough, Arena’s recent comments about Celtics legend Larry Bird had many fans furious once again.

While defending Stephen Curry on the list of the 10 greatest players of all time, Arenas did not hesitate to take Bird’s name off the list, calling the latter’s game a dinosaur.

“We’re trying to compare his (Curry’s) style to a dinosaur style, you know what I mean?” said the former Wizards player. “So when someone says, ‘Well, how are you going to drop out like Larry Bird?’ Easy, easy, easy, as if he could easily do it.”

Arenas had his reasoning for the above statements, which could make many shake their heads. The former 6th MOY believes that the current game is much more evolved and intense than in previous times, adding that he would not consider players before 90 in his top 10 list.

Arenas described Bird’s gameplay as a dinosaur, adding that the game was much faster today. The former Wizards guard refused to accept players on the top 10 list who played before the 90s, ruling out legends like Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Wilt Chamberlain, to name a few.

Citing between 12 and 15 teams, compared to the current 30 franchises, Arenas asserted that Russell would not have won in the current era.
