“Can’t Be Worse If I Date A Fetus”: Gabrielle Union Once Revealed Awkward Reason For Dating 26 Y/o Dwyane Wade
Gabrielle Union let it be known that she never thought she and Dwyane Wade would have a lasting relationship because of her resume.
Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union have been one of the most notable couples in the NBA since announcing their engagement in December 2013. However, their journey to finally living life as husband and wife was not an easy one.
The two of them had to cross various obstacles to get to the point where they currently are. One thing they had in common was that they had both been married once before. While Union was married to former NFL star Chris Howard, Wade ended up divorcing Siohvaughn Funches in a rather messy divorce.
At the time the Heat superstar was going through this, he would end up clashing with Gab Union at a Super Bowl party. “He was across the room holding a Bible study,Union said of Dwyane’s alcohol-free diet at the time.

Gabrielle Union didn’t feel like she could have one last relationship with someone like Dwyane Wade.
With the way Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union flaunt their relationship on social media, fans would be surprised to learn that the latter didn’t actually believe in them at first.
She would tell Glamor quite frankly that she wasn’t interested in the things the 3x NBA champion brought to the table. “When I met Dwyane, his resume looked like crap; athlete, in divorce proceedings, 9 years younger. None of it screamed, ‘Let’s have a long-term relationship.'”
However, she would go on to explain that after another breakup with another man, she was more open to the idea of ’dating a fetus’. Wade was around 26 years old when the two first met.

Given that Gabrielle is nearly a decade older than Dwyane Wade, it’s safe to say that she would need someone on her level from a maturity standpoint. However, after meeting Wade for a short time, she realized that he is more than capable of being mature.
I would go on to tell Glamor that Wade has wisdom due to facing adversity from a very young age (he’s been on his own since he was 15). “He’s sweet and funny and honest about his flaws,” Union said.
