Russell Westbrook Can’t Miss From 3! Lakers Show Signs of Gelling Despite Loss

Russell Westbrook has returned to make triples and cut to the hoop. A welcome sight as the Lakers look to prepare for the season.

The Los Angeles Lakers are shooting on cylinders, or so it seems. The players are on a roll and feeling like themselves.

Russell Westbrook is “rocking the baby” in a preseason game no less.

Today, he was himself again. Cut to the basket, take 3s out of the corners, whatever!

Russell was in one today.

Maybe it’s an offer to boost your business value? Who knows. Or maybe, it’s a good way to make sure you’re in contention to carry the rock. Whatever the case, Westbrook put in a classic performance today.

LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley make their first outing together for the 2022-23 season

The Lakers are beginning to gel on the court. With LeBron James, Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley playing. They are looking to get the best out of their team, however today’s loss highlights something important.

No matter the lineup, once players begin their twilight years, there’s not much they can do. They will put on a weird spirited performance for sure, but other than that, it would be unreasonable to expect more.

Meanwhile, Westbrook is looking good. He finally hit some 3s in the corners and we got to see glimpses of his old self.

How far will the Lakers go? And has Westbrook returned to his supreme self?

A tough question that begs for an answer, how far will the Lakers go? As one of the top franchises in the NBA, there are high expectations. With an all-time great like LeBron James at the helm, people still believe he can go the distance.

While unrealistic, it is not impossible. If their supporting cast perform together, there will be a slim chance. They lost to the Phoenix Suns tonight, which just goes to show there is a lot of work to be done.

But among them, Russell Westbrook shone the brightest. The point guard put in a classic performance and showed all the signs of a return to his glorious Mr. Triple Double.

The Lakers look pretty shy, but as time goes on and they put all their pieces together, things can change. Westbrook could be the herald of a new era. Let’s hope.
