The passenger jeep with about 18 people onboard was on its way to Chitral from Gokhir village when it fell into a deep ravine.
According to initial reports by police, the jeep plunged into the ravine while taking a sharp turn at the mountainous terrain of Chitral, a district in the country’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
According to reports, the accident occurred in Marwi area when the jeep was on its way from Chashogram to Chitral.
The injured were shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital where two of them are said to be in critical condition.
Road accidents often happen in Chitral mainly due to poor roads and over-loading.
