India defeat Pakistan by 48-39 points in their final match held at the Guru Nanak Stadium.
Pakistan and India played Kabaddi World Cup 2013 final match at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana on Saturday.
Pakistan’s Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal were also present at the stadium to watch the final match.
Earlier, addressing the ceremony held on Saturday evening before final match of Kabbaddi world cup between Indo-Pak teams, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed the hope that people in the Pakistani Punjab and Indian Punjab can come together and work to solve mutually afflicting problems such as low education, boost bilateral trade.
Chief Minister Punjab said that next Kabbaddi world cup will jointly be arranged by both India and Pakistan, adding both countries should express goodwill passion for each other.
“Success of Pakistan means victory India’s neighbor and if India wins it should also be considered as success of Pakistan’s neighbor,” he mentioned.
Shahbaz Sharif maintained that both countries should increase trade in order to defeat poverty, unemployment from the region.
“We should have to establish peace in the region,” CM Punjab resolved.
Chief Minister of Indian Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal said that Shahbaz Sharif’s visit is a foot step towards normalization of relations as both nations share common culture and tradition.
He welcomed Shahbaz Sharif and his delegation and said that hearts of ‘Punjabis’ across the border are alike.
