Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai 268th Urs begins today

HYDERABAD: The 268th annual Urs of Sindhi sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai started at Bhitshah Town from Monday for three days.

Holiday has been declared on Monday all over the Sindh to pay homage to the Sindhi sufi poet Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

Devotees from all over the country have arrived in the Town and paid homage to the great poet and saint, Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

Temporary stalls selling handicrafts, dried fruit and ready-made garments are being set up at Bhitshah.

The event was inaugurated by Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro while the chief minister, Qaim Ali Shah, would be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony on Wednesday.

The chief minister will also present the Latif Awards to people for recognition of their services in different fields. (APP)
